As it is uneconomical to send larger items, you will need to source yourself :

Electrical parts

  1. Electrical box for the motor controllers (192€ on Amazon), any other box of this size will do the job
  2. 8-port power strip to connect the motor controllers (52€ on Amazon), any other power strip with at least 6 ports will do the job

You will also need small standard DIY materials such as lugs, wires etc….

Top platform

You will need to make the flat part of the top platform yourself. If you make it out of wood, a jigsaw or circular saw will be needed, it is quite simple. You can alternatively make it out of metal.

Laminated plywood is ideal, about 60€ per plate. You need a sheet of at least 1200x740mm!

Mechanical parts

You will need standard tools and including the following :

  1. Lithium ball screw grease (10€ on Amazon), any other mechanical grease will do
  2. Medium thread lock (5€ on Amazon)
  3. Silicone spray lubricant (15€ on Amazon)

Ballast for the lower platform

Due to the stress and movement of the platform, it is necessary to ballast or fix the platform to the ground.

The platform has been successfully tested for 1 month with 8 weights of 20kg. You can buy these weights ready-made, use sand or make them out of concrete:

  1. Olympic weight mould 20kg diameter 280mm (65€ on Venice)
  2. 160 kilos of concrete weights in a local shop (30€)

It’s easy to make and takes about 30min + 48h drying time per weight. This saves a lot of money on ballast (100€ VS 8*80€).

Total estimated price with concrete weight and plywood plate: 430€
